This has been a most exciting (and ongoing) journey of discovery.
First, I would like to thank Seah family members – Simon, Sally, Shannon, Florence, Claudia, and William. In addition, Benny, Jean Elizabeth, James, and Brandon Seah gave generously of their time and knowledge. Special thanks must go to the Singapore Seah Clan Association (SSCA) as well as President David, Jeremy, Robin, Walter Sia, and the other kind elders at the SSCA. I am also grateful to Patrick Lee and Kenneth Seah for their input to my website.
Second, special thanks must go to Keith Tan, Joseph Tan, and Judith d’Silva for their encouragement and support, and Teo Eng Dih for his invaluable, detailed, and useful comments and perspectives; I am deeply grateful. Eugene Chew, Victor Ong, Lee Yi, Lishan, Mervin, Danny, and Hasvany also provided support.
Third, these kind people deserve special mention: Dr Mustafa Izzuddin; Dr John Kwok; Robert Yeo; Kelvin Ang (he even managed to get me a speaking slot at the Nanyang Sacred Union!); Stella; and John have been especially kind and generous to me. I would like to thank Dr Mark Emmanuel, Chen Zhinian, and Pan Pan.
Fourth, I would like to thank my friends and volunteers: Reuben, Dingfeng, Siak Zhiang, Siak Wei, Candice, Alan, and Wilson Yeo.
Last, but certainly not the least, I would like to thank the artists who worked with me on many projects over the years. First, special thanks must go to generous and talented artist Lu Yunru, for her amazing artwork. I would also like to thank the creative illustrators and digital artists, Felipe Vasconcelos from Mexico and Alexandru Dumitrescu from Romania. Danny Ng’s work was amazing. Jeyasoorya (or Jeya in short) is one of the most talented artists I know and, without her, many things would not have been possible. When I commissioned her for various projects, I knew they would be delivered successfully. For Our Amazing Pioneers, Patrick Yee was central to our efforts. The keen eye and artistic talent of all the artists contributed greatly to fleshing out words in visual form, and bringing characters and places to life.
